All ready for the Lunar New Year? A small video on how the studs are done for my clutch :)

Retail Recap

Image
I've been a bad bad boy this year! Started the year with a new impulse purchase, I mean it's damn cheap and I just have to buy it. Nearly missed my flight back due to indecisiveness at the airport duty free shopping area. Now that's commitment. Thought of rewarding myself, sort of like a birthday present. Turned out to be a disaster but at least I had fun. Because it's cheap. But I made profit with resale. Because I have been looking for this model for a long time and it's cheap. It's sexy and minimalist. Accidental buy. It was again very cheap, almost 50% off retail price and all the stickers on the hardware are still intact. But dead heavy. Always wanted one and I thought the colors combination are nice, made profit at resale. It's FOC. No complaints. Love it and I can rock it too. Balenciaga, you gotta love em. I had a shortlived affair with other models but these are for keeps. Love it so much so that I bought two. That's the thing about me, I will w...

I think enough is enough

For this year, at least. Happy early Christmas/New Year/Birthday/whatever there is always a reason to buy new bags

Beauty

Image
Now. That's the beauty of technology and Christopher Bailey, the creative director at Burberry knows too well about it. He used to put the clothes up as soon as the model walked off the runway and for the lastest LFW, he showcased the clothes and accessories right before the model hit the catwalk. And best part is, you can buy it asap. Lots of buzz and the price aint small too, anything under Prorsum banner will set you thousands and while I've been lusting over many objects for the past few years, somehow I have yet to part with my monies on them. Probably there's just way too much checks out there in the market - cheap checks mind you. Plus the inferior and ugly ass Blue Label from Japan is really killing me. So my pick from the buffet table would be this baby. Nice use of colors, checks and leather. CHECK BURBERRY WHIPSTITCH BAG MYR8,795.00

Cause it was all yellow....

Image
I am not for bright colours but suddenly I just think that I need, no I MUST have something yellow. Such happiness. Of course satchels are overrated and overexposed these days but these are still very cute. Celine Cabas....so simple yet so beautiful. Really soft lambskin but the price, so 2K plus isn't that much considering it's full leather but I don't know. This is the one I am eyeing. Not terribly expensive.... Source: http://streetfsn.blogspot.com/

Goodbye and no love

Image
I've said goodbye to this bag. Oh well. It's been nice. But it's nicer to get cash back. I think I've made a profit.

My credit card say no but my heart say lets go!

Image
Oh dear! I have fallen off the wagon yet again. All in the name of retail. Was out to collect a cheque, ended up spending it and need to top up on it. My friends have said this one too often to me - You're such a WHORE!

When I was young

Image
So I spent my early Saturday morning today at the client's for some work - this is the 2nd Saturday and looks to me like it's going to be from time to time. It's not really hard work, more like done as a favour to them and I have to confess that I was feeling a little nervous speaking in front of 40+ kids but kids are easy to trick. I was more worried about not being able to wake up on time on the weekend. Right after that, I headed to a mall and seriously, by the time I was there around 11ish, all the parking spots were gone. I really couldn't fanthom how people can spend their weekends at the mall, esp one that is perpetually crowded like that one. Ok, I have to confess I did spent unreasonable time at the mall when I was dating Him but anyway that's one of the many stupid things people do when they think they are in love. Going back, I took a drive via some old roads to avoid traffic jam, down the lane where I used to live. Things didn't change much. It was s...

I cry

Image
At the risk of sounding absolutely superficial, I struggled with posting this. On one hand, this is what I am going through, what I like and this blog is all about me. Why should I care what people think? Then on another, I cringed, looking back at some of the things that I've wrote and I can fully appreciate how I can came across to be many things. Then again, you live you learn. That's the plus of being older :) You do think faster than you act though I am still trying to master that. But I digress. What others think is not everything but I of all people should know better and first impression do count. It's like abit like branding. Well, everyone has their own weaknesses and this is of one mine. I love like something fun, something vintage and above all, uncommon. I won't spend that kind of money yet though it's absolutely worth it. Yes yes, there are alot of poor people out there or I can do this and that with my money, yes I know it. Which is why I am not click...

Get asked that question

Image
It has to been (and safe to say) a crazy week for me, with work pilling up like a truck dumping all its shit over me but what can you do or say? I mean if I was younger, hungrier or more desperate like I was back then, it wouldn't be a problem. But nowadays I am more selective, I guess a little to do with the fact that I am not getting younger and couldn't waste my time on bullshits but whatever. Then there was the flu, cough and a little drama of people resigning and shit. But all in all, it was just another week at work. But I guess the beauty of being older and seeing more things is that it makes you appreciate the good and filters out the bad and there was interesting happenings here and there and one of it was that I finally got asked the question. Yes, ladies and gay boys, the question that most gay boys will get asked once or twice in their lifetime. That lifechanging question that requires time and thought to it. A question that asks you to commit to something so big an...

A new year, new me and new bag?

Image
So how was your new year/holiday/year end? arguably it's my favorite time of the year as things move slowly (yeah right), lights are more romantic, people are in a better mood and work is slower (yeah right) but all in all, it's good or rather has been good. Then it's really back to reality and another 10-11 months before we can go happy holidays again. It's not that bad because looking back all these years, I have always been quite happy with things. Job aint bad and there are many things to be thankful for. Luckily this year/or rather end of last, I've found something extra to be thankful for. As difficult as it is, everything that has happened turned out to be a blessing for me and all I can hope for is a better year ahead. Despite not getting any younger (yes, I am turning three o soon) and not any richer, one shouldn't complain. Though I really need to be more serious in planning my life now. Before I knew it, I will be 40 and with no hair. But at least for...

Just say NO

Image
It's been awhile and I have been racking up quite a number of bags over some time and while it's all fun and all, I've always have this sneaky feeling just tossed aside that it's not exactly the best and right thing to do. It started off as rewarding oneself but somehow the need never cease. There is always one and another one more to acquire and while it's not exactly all adding extra harm to my cards (no bad debt here), it is also not exactly healthy for my savings. Which brings me to the point, what savings? I know we have talked about the general gay community who lived on buy now, think later - kind of live for the day attitude. It's not exactly a bad thing, to go for 'things' and live the day like it's your last but somehow a backup plan is always required. To a certain extand, I might have it but I don't know. I am guessing this is due to the Chinese boy in mind, the mentality of being safe and save. For now at least I am safe/save. I don...

Can't be too serious

It has been such a pleasure of late with a week of holidays that basically make up the entire week seeing that so many people took extra days off and all. Not just the traffic was fabulous, I was feeling much better after 3 weeks of hiatus into sickland. Can you imagine those time without a wee of alcohol and ciggie? I can't but I have learnt to take it easy this time around and know my limits. I can say all these things now but when I was at my sickest summit, all I could thought of was for someone to come and end it all for me. But that was then and now that I am much better off, it's all back to work and business as usual for me. Just can't believe that there's two more months or so before Christmas and last Christmas was just like yesterday. I am just wrapping up a campaign which was just launched a couple of weeks ago and in between getting sick and problems with it, I really have no time or mood for anything else at all. After this I am looking forward to some res...

In the clutches of love

Image
I must say that over the weekend, I was the subject of some questioning during some sort of classes which I’ve attended and one of the many queries that were directed has something to do with what and who influences me the most. I think it’s unfair to say that you are not influenced by anything at all – we are all product of our surrounding and one of the things that kind of impacted in the material way was this particular clutch which was popularized by Sarah Jessica Parker in the Sex and the City movie. In fact one search online will reveal plenty of sites dissecting everything that the girls wore or carry in the movie and immediately propelled their desirability and price. It’s not like I am crazy over the Prada clutch just because SJP carries it but the idea of carrying a clutch or in a guy’s case *ahem* they would prefer to call it a portfolio/document bag, excuse me thank you very much has never occurred to me before and I find it very fresh indeed. I was actually quite put off b...

New babies

Image
Well, a quick note to say that I've finally reunited with my babies. 1. Burberry Rollup Canvas + Leather trimmings bag 2. Le Pliage Medium Chocolate Bag Of course it wouldn't happen without my personal shopper Fei Mui. Final damage? Only RM1++K. Guess it will be economy rice for me till...till I spot another hot bag and I am already eye-ing a couple expensive bags already. Oh dear!
