Quick weekend away from KL.

It might not be Maldives but it was certainly nice. I know the reference to Maldives is like so random - thats because I just saw someone I knew who is obviously living the life that I meant to live being there. What a nice way to rain on my small parade but thinking about it again, I should appreciate the little things I like - I mean why do we let that one or two thing make us feel bad about all the great things that we already have? I certainly did enjoyed myself very much indeed and nice topup on my tan from Lipe. In fact, I have not finished from peeling from Lipe and now this. Kuantan, twas nice seeing you for the first time.

So bitches, I am back. It's been fun at times, frustrating because of my travel partner, jokes, drama and sickness here and there. It was well worth it. Planning nothing and do nothing other than figuring what to eat next. Langkawi is very sweet, like how I remembered it to be but I didn't spend much time there. I really love my dodgy backpacker hostel in Langkawi because you get tons of shirtless men all the time - mostly young, dumb and probably full of cum. The stay at Lipe was much more luxurious so there's none of that but rather more of quiet couples, happy families strolling about. The beach is nice and white but I have to say, the water is better in Perhentian. At least I can cross this out from my to do list.

From KL, it's a short trip and you can see this . I have to admit that I have never been this close to a paddy field. And to spend hours within it's proximity. If only someone build a nice infinity raised pool behind one of these traditional house with fabulous sundeck chairs and cafe - it would have been perfect. Cocktails and all. But it's work and I have never been here so that's all good. New experiences yet again.

Getting older is alright but it's much better when you are doing it with friends. In line with the new outlook for this year, it's great to seek new experiences, near or far. Life is mundane if you keep doing the same thing and seeing the same places all the time, no?

Still here. Going home soon. Shall write about it next week. End of next week because it seems like the whole working week, I will be dying. Slowly.

I am sure over the last weekend everyone and anyone was probably being broiled down by countless messages, dedications and ads all on the country’s Independence Day celebration. I am also sure that true that while 50 years and some achievements here and there are worth mentioning but I can’t help to feel a bit cynicism and disgusted actually at some of things that was written (namely editorial and writeup) and done (ads and such). Watched a couple of expensive and over the top television commercials but none of them really stick to my mind. So was the press ad. The usual fake 3 races together kind of scenario was gag inducing to the max and really, and someone should stop doing those stylized commercials (you know those with cool music and shoots) ala MAS and CIMB. No surprise there as both has the similar look and feels because it was done by the same agency. My favourite was the one from Petronas – overly long as usual and it took a second seating to understand the meaning. The syno...
