Byzantine boys and girls

Image
Taking a break from what is something that I need to think about. Yes, sorry to be vague. But moving on, love love the religious reference and Byzantian inspiration for the duo Dolce & Gabbana's lastest show. I have highlighted the men's show previously which is really beautiful and now it's the ladies turn. The pricing would be for sure more reasonable than Givenchy and probably less in your face too, which is what I like. Can't wait to get my hands on the men's stuff come Autumn.

We're never ever ever ever ever getting back together

So finally the other day I gave up. Gave up on ever gaining back my old waist size and holding on to expensive and fitting (very tight) clothes esp my nice pants and a couple of shirts. Over the years I have been slowly giving them up, mostly to my father who is a tad smaller than me and he will take up whatever that is not too gay or too youthful while the rest goes to this colleague of mine whom despite being older than me is disgustingly thinner. The problem here is not so much I gained that much weight even though I did but more of the years of abuse that I have done to my body by drinking. By principal I am not too crazy about food and I can even do without it but at the end of the day, no regrets. Even my face is fatter these days. Oh well, it's age. Ain't gonna fight it, just make the best out of it. So keep calm and buy size M.

Nerd at work

I didn't really want to change formatting style but that damn Photobucket keep on upgrading their services and the most stupid part is that they disabled most of the previous filters and function and hence this new change. I bet no one notices it but I hate it...argggh!!! Anyway, a new set of photoshoot from Mr Porter featuring Elijah Wood - usually 'midget' is not really my thing but the first picture with the glasses and ciggies just took my breathe away - typical me and nerds eh?

New Year again

Image
Happy Chinese New Year! for the longest time I have been travelling for every Chinese New Year but because of some bitch this year I have to miss out a trip to Shanghai and some parts of China. But trying to be calm is the order of the day, in fact it is the order of the year. Just letting it go and ignoring them bitches. After all, karma is bitchier than me! Enough of the bad things, so here's to a better year ahead!

#102 Things to give up for travelling

RM1,000   Now RM495  Save 51% To a huge exten, this is a great deal considering the pricing. You would probably have to pay more here in Malaysia to get yourself a piece of that and it's pretty iconic for those who are uninitiated. But even with free shipping, I nearly clicked on checkout...took me alot to say no. And walk away.

Being Boring

One of the biggest sports event which is also one of the biggest advertising 'event' - SuperBowl just ended a couple of days ago. The usual talk about SuperBowl for us would be the cost for half time ads - a whopping USD4million for 30second. That and also the tradition of producing viral friendly and great ads has always been thing for agencies in the states. Some of these spots run for 2minutes. Go do the calculations. The world outside of US wouldn't be bothered with the games, but much more on the ads and there are a couple of good ones here and there but like it or not, it felt like this year the game has taken a back seat - it's almost like Beyonce's concert supported by a game and not the other way around. What is more suprising is that why people actually love that girl so much? I mean she has talent and she can sing - despite the lip snyc scandal but she's insanely boring. Started the whole show with Crazy in Love which is great but the choreography i

Real life in box

If there's one thing that I love in my life, that would be documentaries. I remembered back in the days when I really relish to chance to catch any episodes of National Geographic Explorer and the first thing that I made mandatory when I subscribed to cable TV was to get the documentary pack. In fact, I used to subscribe to NatGeo but those were the days...it's all about digital these days. It was during those years that I yearn to visit Egypt - I am a big Egyptology and history freak. I suppose it doesn't cost that much and so perhaps one day I will be able to fulfil a childhood dream. It isn't that safe to visit these days so who knows. It's one of those episodes that I first found out about Varanasi and it felt great to visit that place, finally. Beyond the places to go and see which I do still like, there are other subjects that I like - anything apart from automobile, machinary, guns etc...typical boy stuff, I find it disintresting though airplanes and the
