The fact that this part of Indonesia eludes the dangers of overcrowding from tourists is beyond me. This place is beautiful, historical (I don't need to talk about the ancient and many UNESCO heritage sites though some people I know doesn't even know what it is and why it exists) and extremely affordable. But what's more important are the people - kind, warm and generous. Nicest people I've meet during all my travel and just as good as the Taiwanese. It's not hard to lose your heart to such a place, lost between time and culture and mainly frequent by the locals. Oh, I don't have to talk about how good the food was - it's beyond words. Not the programming type but rather the island of Java. A friend went there recently and here are his pics. I know its random but I have been thinking of a grand Indonesia tour for awhile now. Probably have to do it soon, like next month or in July. For now, still up in the air.  Latest update: Travel partner pulled out, more likely to do it next year. Oh well.

Happy new year. It's a BLEH to go back to work but I've been busy. Booking and booking and more bookings. Not for this upcoming trip but for the next one. As for the upcoming, thank God it's settled and so long to you during the Chinese New Year break. I know, I know, it's bad to talk about one holiday when one just ended and all but life's like that. I have so many things in my head now that I can't just say it. Thinking and planning and saving of course, which is never my forte. Speaking of which, there is a new year purchase. So much for saving!
