I couldn't help but wonder...

Image
That's the line that Carrie Bradshaw uses all the time. And today of sort is Sarah Jessica Parker's birthday. Happy birthday SJP! The woman who played the woman who inspired women around the world. For me, it was just fashion orgasm week after week. From the iconic Fendi Baguette to Dior's saddle bag, everyone wants one. Also quite memorable is the newspaper dress from Dior by Galliano, it has become a Galliano signature now to all the other crazy outfits. This is the show that made Choos, Blahnik, Louboutin the holy trinity of fashion and no one has done that much to fashion since Audrey Hepburn's films for Givenchy - the likes of Gossip Girl/Carrie Diaries are not even anywhere close. Just a bonus, here are all the things that Carrie has 'wondered' over the years - click here

Byzantine boys and girls

Image
Taking a break from what is something that I need to think about. Yes, sorry to be vague. But moving on, love love the religious reference and Byzantian inspiration for the duo Dolce & Gabbana's lastest show. I have highlighted the men's show previously which is really beautiful and now it's the ladies turn. The pricing would be for sure more reasonable than Givenchy and probably less in your face too, which is what I like. Can't wait to get my hands on the men's stuff come Autumn.

Religion

Image
Well, worshipping material unnecessary can be a religion too as shown by the crazy fashionistas who shelve out thousands of ringgit for a T shirt. Yes, you read right, Givenchy t shirts sells for that much. But who can resist the charm of these Italians and their usage of God, religion and art? I really love these Fall Winter 2013 pieces by Dolce & Gabanna, right after the haute couture nuns previewed from Givenchy.

A study in pink

Image
Ah, yet another long weekend. What else can I say? Life is alright except the back ache is still bothering me, got it seen and getting better. I suppose one can't complain when there's so much going on and so much to be thankful about. Sometimes life can be random and it's nice to do random things like out of the blue (no planning) having dinner with friends that are hard to get by in the middle of town, enjoying each another's company or buying things that you never account for and doing it for the first time. Really can't complain. Going back to the pink topic, ordered a pink pants earlier last week and can't wait to try them on. Really feeling pink, almost inspired by the latest Pierre Balmain show in New York, so scroll down for the final pic by me, color by Balmain, pieces by Prada Spring Summer 2012 men and women's collection (btw, the tie is loose so bitch, please I know the correct length for it). You wouldn't believe how much I paid for tho...

Hipster (also referred to as scenesters[1]) is a term frequently used to refer to a subculture of young, recently settled urban middle class adults and older teenagers. Usage of the term reappeared in the 1990s and persists to the present. The subculture is associated with independent music, a varied non-mainstream fashion sensibility, and alternative lifestyles. Interests in media would include independent film, magazines such as Vice and Clash, and websites like Pitchfork Media. In a Huffington Post article entitled "Who's a Hipster?," Julia Plevin argues that the "definition of 'hipster' remains opaque to anyone outside this self-proclaiming, highly-selective circle." She claims that the "whole point of hipsters is that they avoid labels and being labeled. However, they all dress the same and act the same and conform in their non-conformity" to an "iconic carefully created sloppy vintage look." Dan Fletcher in Time seems to support...

the look of gay

Image
I remembered talking about this for many times now and it doesn't seem to get old. The thing that is getting old is me and with more experience, my views on it changed or rather become richer. When you're young, it's easy to be influenced by what is so called cool and it's not hard being cool just as long as you got the money for it. But then as you go along, you realised that everyone is donning the same thing and before you know it, you look just like anyone else. I know don't where the cool factor comes from because it seems like I am looking just like everyone else so I guess it's more to do with fitting in than standing out. Then along come gaydom and before you know it, the tight tees and shit are all in. Heck, they even have a haircut for it and yet again, it's all mass production with everyone looking the same, the same sleevless shirt and the same place they go for their cut and shit. It's all rather limiting isn't it? This is not to say th...

Almost pornstache

Image
Miuccia Prada did it again. AH-MAZING!!! While Burberry has been a let down for a season or two, Prada went strength to strength for the past 1-2 years. Won't bore you with my reviews as the pro will and can do it better, so read and see everything here . Here are my picks and I am quite excited about the strong looks coupled with round glasses (which I have) and the almost pornstache. I am growing one as well!!

Major arm candy

I am officially obssesed with load and loads of bangles and bracelets. Been hoarding some but somehow the nicer ones are very expensive. I am such a cheapskate. I guess it's about finding the balance between wants and save. But it's bootiful...isn't it? Source: http://honestlywtf.com/
