Deception

If you have not heard of the term Catfish, I suggest that you check it out. To be honest, it's not really a term but rather a title of a movie and then an MTV series highlighting online relationships that are usually not what it seems. Some are honest, mainly there's fabrication. I am not talking about any form of relationship, I have none at this point but recently someone tried and reach out to me. I won't go into the details because I don't want anyone copying it and I don't mention how I found out about this deception in case someone learning from it and try to sharpen their skills. Whatever it is - instinct - there's the feeling that something is not right from the beginning have been bugging me and that is what I learnt from this. Always trust them. The other lesson is about how these people would use your biggest weaknesses to try and play on it - if it's vanity, they will say you look great and cute or if you are desperately lonely, they will off

Counting down to Yogyakarta

Only 4 more working days and then I am off. As with many of my trips, alot of them are done last minute and based on the cheapest flight. Might sound great to be going for one trip after another and then another but it is actually quite whack. I need to get my cough in check and plenty of rest - resisting going out and eating like a grandfather. But like all things in life, you learn and I learnt that I need to take things slowly. Must drink plenty of water and take care of myself. Credit: http://world-hunk.blogspot.com/

Thailand - can you ever get bored of it?

I've never though I will say this but - yes it's getting very tiring and predictable. At least at the major tourist areas anyway. There is virtually no more surprises after having been there so many times and to some, it's comforting.. But things are not usually for the better, things have no choice but to be more expensive, places are now more crowded when it used to be quiet. Which is why I enjoyed Lipe. Just enough dose of everything. Time to venture to other more remote islands. As for now, this Krabi trip was like an old friend - it has changed, it's nice while it lasted and you always talk about back in the days.

Memories of Manila

Day 1  Hostel check in (with the jam and the delayed timing with Zest Air, reached at 4-5pm) Malate Church - just to have a look see Baywalk Dinner at Aristocrat Restaurant at Malate Drinks around Malate area - too many girlie bars in the area Day 2  Woke up early to have breakfast at the hostel Walked up to the Quirino station and stop at Central Terminal Got lost and finally reach Intramuros - visited Casa Manila, St Augustin Church and Museum, Manila Cathedral was closed for repair, walk around the old town area until Fort Santiago. It rained like mad and had to take shelter in a cafe. Walked out to Rizal Park and back to hotel via United Nations station. Went back hotel to freshen up before we hit the stations again. Dropped down to take a jeepney to Divisoria Night Market. Nothing much to see there and had dinner at one of the roadside stalls. Day 3  Took a train to Edsa station and then exchange over to Ayala. It's quite a distance away to reach Greenbelt We

When I am gone

So I am off to Manila, will update this much later. Meanwhile feast your eyes on this precious thang - there's nothing that can come close to Thai boys. Even if the face is not hot, they are unusually fit and tanned and then of course the generous facial hair - how to compete? This one is my fav boy - follow him on instagram - narubert007, now with over 16K followers. Not crazy about his tattoos though. Next round, I will be bringing you some Vietnamese delight to coincide with my trip next month. Enjoy ka!
