More love with the ramen

Image
So my love for ramen continued - found myself going back to the same ramen shop to just steal away from everything that is happening. I am trying not to complain because no one likes a person who does nothing but complain about how sucky their life is or how hard their job is. The truth is, everyone to a certain extend have a sucky life so its a matter of how you deal with it that makes all the difference. And not to mention, all the so called suckiness is also due to one's own doing, So these days, I don't even want to talk about it. Or talk about anything at all. Hence all the pictures that I've posted lately. My only consolidation is to eat ramen. There's something sort of like anticipation when I ordered mine. It's not cheap. That I have to say as much. I don't know what is the big deal about it but I just love it. Couldn't decide if it's the seasoned egg, or was it the thinly sliced charsiew or ultimately the flavoursome broth. But all in one jus...

Love and the Ramen

So I was talking about serendipity and how almost laughable that concept it. I suppose when you don't know any better, eveything is possible. And if life is like a movie, I would probably had one of the most interesting night of my life. It was a weekday so I've decided to drop by somewhere just to have dinner by myself. I don't usually eat dinner so to speak but the whole day I was munching on nothing but rabbit food. Right from the start it was nice because there wasn't too much of traffic on the road and easily I found a parking in that notoriously hard to find parking mall. From the moment I walked towards the escalator, I've noticed this guy - tallish, short haired, bespectacled with facial hair, young daddy-ish - typically how I like my men. Dressed in your usual office gear, grey shirt with black pants and since I followed behind - yes not too bad of a butt. He was busy looking around the restaurant and I was busy looking at his behind while I walking behind...

The death of romance

Image
This is something old which was shared a little while back then, this video by The Onion News Network fictionalize a terrible future in which the cinemas exploded with Katherine Heigl films due to some accident, with her usual selections of shitty rom coms. With titles like There & Back (ala Up In The Air), The Love CEO (pairing with usual suspect Paul Rudd), 30Love, Like Sisters, Holidaze, Venus & Mars (with Bradley Cooper) and other rubbish titles. Fictional it may be, for those who are exposed to hazardous crap like these all the time, you couldn't help but wondered if there is some truth to it. To me, the genre of rom com truly died when I was forced to go through the very ugly Ugly Truth. I managed to guess the set up of the ending before the movies ends and that goes to show how formulaic it has become. Sure, these days it's abit more about being gritty with the likes of Hitch and He's Not That Into You but it doesn't change the fact that the movies has b...

The sense of serenity

It’s funny how sometimes a little of taste or scent can bring you back to a certain period of time in your life, evoke warm and fuzzy feelings within and make you feel as if one can’t turn back time then this will be the next best thing. To me, it would be my mother’s cooking that makes it taste and feel like home, the scent on someone’s else body or it could even be your friends. I mean BO aside, everyone do have their own distinctive scent – a concoction of beauty or fabric product that they used at home. By next January, it would be exactly 6 years since I’ve first met C. I have talked about him a couple of times before. During one of the little time that we spend with each another, he left an impression or rather scent on me that have lasted since then. He is a big fan of buying various perfumes (technically, it’s not a perfume because it’s not Eau De Parfum but Eau De Toilette but we Malaysian don’t care, do we?) and stuff and really into those manly types (which suits his perso...
