Is it me or just...

I've managed to catch this certain TVC by OCBC recently and I wasn't impressed at all.

Have a look:

What I have problem with the ad is:
1. Overused talent - that guy (whatever his name) is a well known model and bla bla bla but isn't he already the spokeperson for another electronic company? Sure, it's a different category but like Amber Chia, she is basically in everything. He/she will be the face of your product and you want people to see that person and then see your product. Not when Celebrity Fitness is advertising and you think it's Focus Point because it's Amber. Not only the younger guy is overused, even the old talent is seen everywhere. This is when you shouldn't
2. Empty emotions - I can't really feel or relate to the ad at all. It tries to go on that level of playing with your emotions and all but came across forced, not really warm and left me feeling so what?

If they want to play on the personal/emotional level, isn't this a better example by HSBC?

Personally I like it but I heard complaints from the ladies over it. What is there to complain? It's abit dreamy, romantic and doesn't come off as plastic feeling as OCBC. Leaves you going awwwww. Okay, so the male talent is also been used here and there but compared to OCBC, it's nothing.
